All Electronic Tolling Contracts Awarded

The Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency (F/ETCA) and San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Agency (SJHTCA) Boards of Directors have awarded contracts for the civil construction and consulting needed to convert The Toll Roads to all electronic tolling (AET).

If you already have a FasTrak account, The Toll Roads’ conversion to AET will be seamless and uneventful – you won’t have to make any changes to your account or commute.  For drivers who currently pay with cash, there will be three new membership account types available to sign up for in early 2014.  Cash will continue to be collected on The Toll Roads through mid-2014.

The move to AET is a sign of the times — more and more consumers are moving away from paying with cash. Already, 81 percent of Toll Road customers use FasTrak.
