The Toll Roads’ 2026 Fossil Roadshow

Have you ever wondered what Orange County looked like up to 90 million years ago? Imagine a 39-foot baleen whale swimming through what is now Aliso Viejo or a mammoth roaming freely across the very places we now drive through every day.

Join us on our Fossil Roadshow to uncover the fascinating world of fossils that were revealed during the construction of The Toll Roads. More than 20,000 fossils were unearthed during this massive project, making it the largest collection of cataloged fossils in the county!

This year, The Toll Roads is once again bringing these discoveries to life with booths at community events across Orange County. Come explore a captivating fossil display and meet a professional paleontologist who will share stories of the animals that once roamed these corridors. Don’t miss this rare chance to step back in time!
